| This course gives young people the opportunity to participate in the first stage of the Emotivate Project, which will transform a neglected subway in the coalfields community of Treforest into a spectacular display of public art.
Network neutrality (equivalently net neutrality or simply NN) is a principle that the Internet should be free of restrictions on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, on the modes of communication allowed, which does not restrict content, sites or platforms, and where communication is not unreasonably degraded by other communication streams. This course introduces learners to the skills required to research this topic on the Internet. This course is made up of four extracts related to social care, social work and the law. The extracts are spead over several sections but follow on from each other to make up this course. You will be introduced to five main themes that shape practice in the field of social care and social work. The aim of this course is to enhance your understanding of the relationship between social work practice and the law. This course is designed to introduce you to the concepts of health and safety within a science laboratory or in the field. There are a number of legal requirements that must be adhered to before carrying out work in a laboratory. One of these is the necessity to carry out risk assessments on the chemical and biological agents that are to be used as part of your practical work activities. As part of this process you may be required to think about minimising exposure of yourself and colleagues to these chemical and biological agents. The following background and information is intended to make you more aware of health and safety aspects of your laboratory and field-based research work. Learning online is one of the great advantages of information technology. This course will help you establish a safe and comfortable working environment to ensure that your study time at the computer screen does not impact on your health. It also looks at the basic skills for online study, such as file management and installing software.
